Workshop Objectives

At the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Be aware of the characteristics of high performance teams.
  • Be aware of the critical success factors of high performance teams.
  • Be able to create purpose and direction for a team, and plan effectively for tasks.
  • Understand the importance of matching individual preferences to tasks.
  • Be able to assess the thinking preferences of team members and use this knowledge to influence and develop them, as well as to allocate tasks to them.
  • Understand the stages of team development, and issues encountered at each stage.
  • Understand what create and maintain trust in a team.
  • Be aware of the key roles of a team leader.
  • Be able to facilitate an effective team meeting.
  • Be aware of the issues involved in managing a virtual team.
  • Be able to use appropriate approaches to manage conflict.
  • Understand the issues in creating and maintaining high morale in the team.
  • Be able to identify team blockages and generate solutions to clear these blockages.
  • Have presented a proposal for developing high performance teams.
 

Learning Process

This is a highly interactive two-day workshop where participants apply the tools and skills learned to various situations. Participants have the opportunity to work on a project with new team members and discover how they can bond the team towards achieving the project goals.

Using our team assessment tool, participants are able to identify blockages in their teams, and generate actions to remove blockages.
